ICCF submits its guidance document on ‘Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism and Excretion (ADME) Evaluation in the context of risk assessment of feed ingredients’ for Public Consultation

January 23rd, 2024 – An Expert Working Group of the International Cooperation for Convergence of Technical Requirements for the Assessment of Feed Ingredients (ICCF) composed of experts drawn from the ICCF founding members has developed a new guidance document on ‘ADME Evaluation in the context of risk assessment of feed ingredients’.

The ICCF Steering Committee adopted the draft Guidance Document for Public Consultation on January 9th, 2024.

The Public Consultation on the Guidance Document ‘ADME Evaluation in the context of risk assessment of feed ingredients’ is now open for comments by interested stakeholders until February 23rd, 2024. Stakeholders are invited to submit their comments, using the feedback document available below. The draft guidance document provides recommendations on how to approach the evaluation of the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of constituent entities contained in the feed ingredient in the context of consumer safety assessment. It provides a stepwise approach, leading, if necessary to ADME Studies on laboratory animals and/or target species.
