This guidance document is a follow-up of the guidance document #06 on ‘Environmental Risk Assessment Approach’. it is intended where the outcome of the Phase 1 evaluation indicates the need for further assessment. The guidance document provides a stepwise approach for the refinement of the Predicted Environmental Concentration (PEC) of the relevant constituent entities contained in the feed ingredient under evaluation and the setting of the Predicted Non-Effect Concentration (PNEC) of these constituent entities, based on studies in the relevant environmental compartment.
